The ministry in Moldova began in 2013 with evangelism and support for children with cancer and their parents, in partnership with a local church. In 2017, at the request of several churches, the ministry expanded to include adults with cancer as well.
The primary goal of this ministry is to bring the Gospel to people who do not know Christ and point them to the hope found in Him. At the same time, the team partners with local churches, encouraging and helping them develop ministries to people with cancer and their families. In recent years, seminars have also been held for pastors and deacons in southern Moldova.
We are grateful to the Lord that, over the years, more than 100 people have heard the Gospel through this ministry, and many have come to faith in Christ. In all of this, we see God's mercy and grace, and our desire is that His name would be glorified through this work.
A few words from the ministry leader:
"Today, a great deal of time and resources are devoted to helping people struggling with drug addiction. Rehabilitation centers are being built, and support programs are being established. Orphans, residents of nursing homes, and many other people in need also receive attention and care.
Yet one of the most overlooked groups is people with cancer, for whom very little ministry is being done.
The Lord has laid it on our hearts to care for these people and bring them the Gospel. What especially encourages us is that, over the years, many have passed into eternity having been reconciled to Christ."
Please pray for this ministry, that more local churches would join us and that those who have heard the Gospel would respond in faith.
Together, we can play a part in the spread of the Gospel.
