Six years ago, Konstantin and Kristina Borodiny moved from the United States to southern Kyrgyzstan with their four children to devote themselves to serving Christ. Their ministry has a special connection to Word of Grace Bible Church: it was here that Konstantin and Kristina received biblical training, discipleship, and preparation for ministry.
They now live in the city of Osh, in a predominantly Muslim region with great spiritual need. Konstantin serves as part of the pastoral team, and the entire family is actively involved in the life of the church through preaching and translating God's Word, discipleship, youth and women's ministries, worship, prayer gatherings, and personal mentoring.
One of the Borodiny family's primary goals is to raise up faithful followers of Christ who will take on spiritual responsibility, serve others, and mentor future generations of believers, so that a mature church fully devoted to Christ may grow in Kyrgyzstan.
An important part of the family's missionary work is their professional involvement in the community. Their agricultural farm, logistics company, and the jobs and business relationships connected with these ventures provide daily opportunities to interact with people who are far removed from church life. New business initiatives help build relationships of trust and open doors to remote communities that can be difficult for Christians to reach. In this way, their everyday work becomes a platform for building relationships, bearing witness to Christ, and putting the Gospel into practice.
The Borodiny family prays for the spiritual growth of the local church, the raising up of new ministry leaders, and like-minded people who are willing to live and work alongside them, investing their lives in others. Their desire remains the same: that Christ would become known in places where very few people have heard of Him.
